Hi, I'm Mike Rotondo and this is my new blog about student entrepreneurship. I feel that I am highly qualified to write in this area as I am both a student and, at least in principle for now, an entrepreneur.

I'm a 4th year computer science major at the University of Rochester, and I've been accepted into the Kauffman Entrepreneurial Year program (you'll be hearing plenty about this) along with David Ganzhorn and Allison Rosenberg. In other words, I get to spend this current semester and all of next year (which will be tuition free) taking courses about entrepreneurship, as well as business courses at Simon.

In just a few months of being in this program, I've been exposed to new people and opportunities unlike any other I'd come across in my previous 3 and a half year at the UofR. Self-made CEOs of Silicon Valley startups just itching to impart wisdom on whoever they see, guys that have the ability to call anyone and BE anyone on the phone, a "Pre-Seed Workshop" at which long-time entrepreneurs and venture capitalists coach aspiring entrepreneurs on developing an idea and forming and running a business around it, and so much more.

So, I've decided that all this excitement is worth writing about. I'll be filling this space with descriptions of my adventures in the world of student entrepreneurship, and some misadventures as well, I'm sure.
